Rocky Mountain High! We had a wonderful day with Sean in the Rockies. The colorful Aspen trees are just amazing and we saw lots of them heading over Guenella Pass (3.500m high). We hiked out to a small lake and hiking at that altitude - even though only at an easy pace lets you know that the air is thin - Rocky Mountain High!The area we were at is near the big ski resorts of Vail, Keystone and Breckenridge.
Today we are heading out west to see Mike and Susanna in Gunisson, CO. We are first heading south to Colorado Springs before we turn west and climb over the Rockies. The next two days we'll be out hiking with Mike so we probably won't post anything until we get to Albuquerque.

Gestern waren wir mit Sean in den Bergen wandern. Es war einfach fantastisch. Die bunten Blaetter der "Aspen trees" (Espen, bzw. Zitterpappeln) sind einfach umwerfend. Wir sind ueber den Guenella Pass (3.500m hoch) nach Georgetown gefahren. Etwas unterhalb des Passes haben wir eine kleine Wanderung zu einem See gemacht. Auf der Hoehe merkt man deutlich, dass die Luft duenn ist - Rocky Mountain High!
Die Gegend kennen viele wahrscheinlich eher durch die Namen der bekannten Skiorte - Vail, Keystone, Breckenridge.
Heute fahren wir nach Gunnison, wo wir die naechsten 2 Tage mit Mike wandern werden. Vermutlich werden wir erst wieder posten, wenn wir in Albuquerque sind.
