In Rio Gallegos haben wir uns den Fluss angeschaut - den Rio Gallegos. Mehr gibt es dort auch nicht. Zumindest waren wir mit 2 Freunden aus Muenchen, die wir in Punta Arenas kennengelernt hatten unterwegs, so dass es doch ein sehr geselliger Nachmittag und Abend war.
Die Nacht ist ja dann dank dem Flug ausgefallen, so dass wir ziemlich geraedert in Buenos Aires angekommen sind und erst einmal etwas Schlaf nachgeholt haben.

Directly on the following day after the penguin visit we left Chile behind and headed back into Argentina. We had a flight from Rio Gallegos to Buenos Aires in the middle of the night (Check in at 1 am, take off at 3 am and arrival at 6 am). At least this gave us the chance to cruise allong the Magellan Strait (in a bus) and through the Pampa. We also passed a few Estancias - the most noticable one the Estancia Condor with 220.000 acres and more than 100.000 sheep. This estancia belongs to Bennetton - go figure!
In Rio Gallegos we visited the river - the Rio Gallegos which basically is all there is to see in town. At least we were travelling with two friends from Munich whom we had met in Punta Arenas so it was a fun afternoon.
The flight obviously robbed us of a night so we arrived in Buenos Aires and crashed for a few hours to catch up on some sleep.
