Discover the World!: Buenos Aires

Wir sind mittlerweile in Buenos Aires angekommen und werden ein paar Tage hier bleiben, bevor es zu den Iguazu Wasserfaellen weitergeht. So werden wir dann auch die naechsten Tage nach und nach die Stadt erkunden.

Es ist auf einmal wieder warm - 25 bis 30ºC, allerdings bei bedecktem Himmel. Gestern haben wir uns zuerst das Stadtviertel Boca angeschaut. Dies ist ein Arbeiterviertel aus dem die beruehmten Boca Juniors - der Fussballclub von Diego Maradonna - kommen. Boca ist auch fuer die farbenfrohen Haeuser und den Tango in der Strasse bekannt. Auffaellig ist, dass hier ueberall der Tango und das Konterfei von Diego Maradonna zu sehen sind.

Am Nachmittag ging es dann durch das Stadtviertel San Telmo (eine Kuenstler- und Antiquitaetengegend, aehnlich wie das Mont Martre in Paris) zum Puerto Madero, eine Hafenanlage.

Meanwhile we have arrived in Buenos Aires and will spend a few days here before heading out to the Iguazú Falls. The weather is finally warm again, although quite cloudy.

So for the next days we will be exploring Buenos Aires bit by bit. Yesterday we visited La Boca which is a working class neighborhood that came to fame through the Tango and football. The famous Boca Juniors play here and this is where Diego Maradonna started his carreer. So evidently in La Boca you constantly see two things: Tango and Maradonna.

In the afternoon we visited San Telmo which is a center for artists - a bit like Mont Martre in Paris before heading down to the Puerto Madero - the inland port of Buenos Aires.
