Lima

Heute Morgen ging es fuer uns sehr frueh los ... von Quito nach Lima ueber die Anden an die Pazifikkueste. Wir haben in Quito zwei wundervolle Wochen erlebt. Dafuer moechten wir insbesondere Anabel und Eddie danken.

Hier in Lima ist es sehr sehr neblig und wir werden uns jetzt das historische Zentrum Limas anschauen. Morgen geht es dann schon weiter nach Cusco und Ollantayambo, die Ausgangsstation fuer Machu Pichhu.

We just landed in Lima after a pretty uneventful flight. We did have nice views though of the Cotopaxi and Chimborazo while leaving Quito as well as a glimpse of Peru`s highest mountain, the Nevado Huarascán with 6768m NN.

Currently it is quite foggy in Lima which won`t keep us from heading into the Centro Historico though.

We had two wonderful weeks in Quito - Muchas gracias a Anabel y Edi para todos!

Short update: Back from downtown with some pictures - and the sun did come out. Lima has a very pretty historical center, a chaotic traffic system but very nice taxistas.

Kurzes Update: Wir sind zurueck aus der Stadt mit Bildern. Tatsaechlich hat sich heute noch die Sonne gezeigt und es war ein wunderschoener Tag. Lima hat eine sehr schoene Altstadt, ein chaotisches Verkehrssystem, aber sehr nette Taxifahrer.
